Marie Helling

CAREER: 
Marie Helling, born on September 28, 2005 in Stuttgart, grew up in a family of musicians with polish and finnish origins. She has been playing the violin and the piano since she was 5 years old. She received her first violin lessons from Veronika Unger in Stuttgart. Since 2017 Marie has been continuing her musical education with Prof. Laurent Albrecht Breuninger at the College of Music Karlsruhe. In addition, she attended master classes with Prof. Yair Kless, Kirill Troussov, Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Prof. Robert Kabara and Prof. Zakhar Bron at his academy in Interlaken. Since February 2020, Marie is a scolarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and plays a violin by Camillo Camilli on loan which has been lending from the possession of the Federal Republic of Germany as a scholarship holder. This year Marie is supported by the Rudolf Renftele Foundation, the Helga Drews Foundation and the Solitude grant Stuttgart. 

COMPETITIONS: 
The Leonid Kogan International competition (II prize, Brussels), the Szymon Goldberg International violin competition (II prize and two special prizes, Meisen in 2019), the '0ugend Musiziert" competition (I prize in June 2019), the international "Lvivskji Virtuoz" competition (I prize in Lviv, the Ukraina), the international music competitions "The Muse" (I prize, 2020), "Grand Prix Virtuoso Berlin" (I prize, 2020), "Naleczow and the Violin" (I prize, 2020), the National competition "Karel Kunc" (I prize, 2020), the International "Euroasia" Competition (Ill prize, 2020), two special prizes in the categories "Classical Modernism" and "Contemporary Work" in Freiburg im Breisgau at the "Weekend of Special Awards" (WESPE, 2020). 

CONCERT PERFORMANCES: 
In 2018 she gave concerts at the "Arpeggione - Sterne von morgen" (Stars of tomorrow) festival in Austria as well as at concerts by the International Summer Academy Mozarteum 2018 at Schloss Hoch and in Salzburg. In February 2019 Marie appeared in the concert series "KSK PRO ARTE - Young Art in the Gallery" in Biberach. At the end of March 2019 she played as soloist with the Gbppingen Youth Symphony Orchestra "Zigeunerweisen" by Pablo de Sarasate in the Gbppingen town hall. In September she was invited to perform at the "0unge musikalische Elite" (Young musical elite) concert series at Castle Mainau. In November 2019, Marie performed as a soloist with the Gbppingen Youth Symphony Orchestra on a concert tour in Spain.
