May 15, Bashkortostan Concert Hall will host the Award Ceremony and Winners' Gala. The event will be broadcast live online at Competition website www.vsvc.org, Moscow Philharmonic Society website www.meloman.ru and Kultura.RF web portal. Live stream starts at 04:00 pm MSK.

May 14 schedule featured workshops facilitated by Mikhail Kopelman (USA) and Boris Kushnir (Austria) both members of the Panel of Judges. Workshops were attended by young Ufa musicians. Training sessions for music students were held at Chaliapin Hall of Zagir Ismagilov Ufa State Institute for Arts.
Winners of the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition have been announced. The Panel of Judges has recognized the following winners
Competition finals have been scheduled for May 14. In compliance with Rules and Regulations finalists are to perform a violin concerto by a 19-20 century composer accompanied by the orchestra.
Finalists will partner up with National Symphony Orchestra of Bashkortostan and Mihail Gerts as its guest conductor.
May 13 schedule featured workshops facilitated by Nikita Boriso-Glebsky (Russia) and Taras Gabora (Canada), both members of the Panel of Judges. Workshops were attended by young Ufa musicians: Aigul Khusnullina, Lydia Zakharova, Yulia Vassilieva and Chulpan Yangirova.
Vladimir Spivakov informed the public about two special Nadezhda (The Hope) prizes from the Panel of Judges when he announced the list of the finalists. They will be awarded during the Winners' Gala on May 15.

On May, 11, Auditions were preceded by a press conference attened by Vladimir Spivakov, Artistic Director of the Competition, People’s Artist of the USSR; Amina Shafikova, Minister of Culture of Bashkortostan; Mikhail Kopelman, Chairperson, Panel of Judges; Boris Kushnir and Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, members, Panel of Judges; Vasily Peganov, Chairperson, Board of Directors, Bashinvest
We welcome everybody to attend workshops with Taras Gabora, Mikhail Kopelman, Nikita Boriso-Glebsky and Boris Kushnir, world famous violinists and members of the Panel of Judges. Workshops are scheduled to take place at Zagir Ismagilov Ufa State Institute for Arts
Round 2 of the Competition will take place May 12 selecting the four finalists. Contestants will perform a solo program featuring a sonata by Beethoven or Brahms (contestant’s choice, Competition Rules and Regulations list), a virtuoso piece by a 19th century composer and a 20th century contemporary piece (all of contestant’s choice).
May 11, the second day of the Competition, featured workshops with concertmasters of National Philharmonic of Russia: Maxim Orekhov (oboe), Alexander Bakharev (trumpet), Sergei Zhuravel (flute), Stanislav Davydov (French horn). Workshops were attended by students of Ufa music schools and colleges and Gaziz Al’mukhametov Boarding School. Admission was free for anybody willing to participate.

The voting will take place through May 15. Its results will be announced at Winners' Gala. Mr. Vasily Peganov, Chairperson, Board of Directors, Bashinvest, has announced the cash award value of RUB 500,000.
On May 11 the Competition schedule will feature Round 1 auditions that will determine the semifinalists. In compliance with Rules and Regulations of the Competition the contestants shall perform solo pieces by Bach, Paganini and Mozart. All auditions will be streamed live at www.vsvc.org, Moscow Philharmonic Society website www.meloman.ru and Kultura.RF web portal.
On May 10the the Competition schedule featured workshops with concertmasters of National Philharmonic of Russia. Workshops were attended by students from Zagir Ismagilov Ufa State Institute for Arts, Ufa Music College, Ufa College of Arts and Gaziz Al'mukhametov Boarding School.

Pierre Amoyal won’t come to Ufa due to the illness. We introduce you a new jury member — Nikita Boriso-Glebsky (Russia), a laureate of numerous international competitions and prestigious professional awards.
The preliminary jury has chosen Anastasia Mamyasheva (18 years, Russia) to participate in the Competition.
The preliminary jury and Vladimir Spivakov in person highly acclaimed the performance of María Dueñas and she has been chosen to participate in the Competition. But now, during the preparation of the documents for tickets booking it turned out that her age is below the minimum age specified by the Competition Rules.

1st Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition entry submission period ended March 20. Hungary, Spain, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Russia, Sweden and Japan have submitted their contenders for the contest.
Mihhail Gerts, a laureate of the Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition in Paris, will come to Ufa to participate in the final round of the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition. The young conductor will perform with four finalists and the National Symphony Orchestra of Republic of Bashkortostan.
Jurors of the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition are announced. They include Pierre Amoyal (France), Taras Gabora (Canada), Mikhail Kopelman (US), Boris Kuschnir (Austria). Maestro Vladimir Spivakov will be a jury member as well.
Boris Kuschnir – violinist and outstanding teacher. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory under Boris Belenky. Among his many achievements are prizes at the international competitions in Paris, Belgrade, Florence, and Vercelli
Mikhail Kopelman, the People’s Artist of Russia, will be the Chairman of the Jury of the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition
Mikhail Kopelman graduated from the Moscow Conservatory where he studied with Maya Glezarova and Yuri Yankelevich
For participation in the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition young violinists of age 15 to 26 are welcome. The Competition will take place in Ufa from 10 till 17 of May, 2016. The deadline to submit an application is March 20, 2016. The applications are accepted on the official site of the Competition www.vsvc.org.
