The final III round of the Competition took place today on the stage of the State Concert Hall "Bashkortostan". The winner of the III International Vladimir Spivakov Violin Competition was Elias David Moncado from Germany.

The drawing of lots for the III International Vladimir Spivakov Violin Competition was held. 11 contestants from 5 countries (South Korea, Japan, Germany, Brazil, Russia) took part in it. The director of the competition, Artur Iskandarovich Naziullin, made a welcoming speech.

Dear friends! Important information! Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation in the world and the risk of transmitting the coronavirus infection the organizing committee of the III Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition is forced to postpone the competition. Applications continue to be accepted. All applications submitted in 2020 will be accepted and the age criteria will be taken into account as of 2020.

Dear friends! We sincerely apologize, but the organizing committee is forced to postpone the competition tentatively to 9 - 15 February of 2021 due to the preventive measures of COVID-19 and its pandemic. We comprehend that those participants who wanted to take part in the competition in 2020, may not be age-matched next year. We have come to a decision that age criteria will be taken into account as of 2020.

The deadline for accepting applications has been extended until November 1, 2020. The results of the qualifying round will be summarized on November 20, 2020.

The competition will take place from the 17 till 21 October 2020 in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The participants will be young performers aged 15-26. The performances of the contestant will be judged by an international judges headed by a prominent violinist whose performing art is highly appreciated all over the world, Mikhail Kopelman (USA). The jury will also include Vladimir Spivakov (Russia), Boris Kuschnir (Austria), Joji Hattori (Japan) and Tong Weidong (China).
